IDEAS AND NEWS

The Sfumaato Imperfectum exhibition invites visitors into a space where matter becomes a spiritual experience and imperfection is viewed not as a defect, but as evidence of life. Here, the sfumato technique—the masterful softening of edges and transitions—extends beyond the canvases of Old Masters into the depth of glass. With its fine, rough texture, glass acts as a filter through which the world feels softer, deeper, and more authentic. To achieve this intent, we experimented with crushed glass waste, ash, as well as sandblasted and textured material finishes. At the same time, we stay true to wood and traditional craftsmanship, developed in collaboration with regional artisans.

This exhibition presented several new product launches—the ANNO solid oak furniture collection, COCOON LAMP wall lights made of oak and lampworked glass, SMILE armchairs crafted from recycled Smile Plastics, alongside the AURA and ORIGIN vase and candleholder series with integrated reliquaries or urns. Additionally, we exhibited PLUSS interior wall objects made from crushed waste glass, marking the outcome of six months of design development.
